Any word on how Nesterov or Koekkoek are looking in Syracuse? DeAngelo was one of the best players last night for US against BU.

I didn't catch the game last night; but saw the highlights; lucky to have gotten a point, the goals that did go in on Nabakov were questionable. Is it me or does he have some serious issues tracking the puck? After majority of the plays; he's always on his back making snow angels.

Was disappointed to see the second goal go in, almost looked slow-mo and somehow ended up in the back of the net. Kudos to Elias for putting that in; but 9/10 times that's a save.

Nabakov made some nice stops in the 2nd and 3rd even though NJ only had 10 shots in those 2 periods; but the D must of been pretty loose on coverage last night (again I didn't see the game) but the chances that NJ did produce seemed like quality opportunities based on the highlight video.

Might be too late to ask Santa for a gift, but sending Nabokov packing would be mine. .
Should be a good game tonight; hoping for a win. Go Bolts!

The fact that Carle just kind of let Elias pull that move drove me nuts. Take the damned body. It's Elias, not Lucic... good lord.

The first goal really was a weird bounce, so I'm not faulting the Bolts on that. However, our first two periods were a bit of a head scratcher- looked listless and confused. The third period looked good and all props to Kinkaid for bearing down and shutting the door until the last 40 seconds.

Kucherov is a star in the making.

Ups and downs for both. They have a ton of potential, but need more seasoning.

DeAngelo looks like he could beat them to the NHL- man, that kid has some moves from the blueline.

I can see your point , but I think carle did what he was suppose to , never gave up the middle of the ice and made him go wide and shoot , the goalie should do the rest .. But if he takes the body the shot never gets taken so it makes sense but come on Nabokov , that was awful

I'm not feeling safe with Nabokov at all. I feel like every shot can go in.
Love watching Kucherov play right now. He is such a skilled guy and the chemistry with Johnson and Palat is lovely. His contract is up after next year, right? That will be interesting. I know it is early but how much do you think he will get if he keeps this pace?

I'm A little worried about Vasilevski tonight. He had such a great game and it was such a high that we might be looking at the Valley as opposed to the peaked.

Correct, we have him on his entry level contract through 2015-2016. If he keeps his current pace, let's say he will finish somewhere in the 20-30 goal range and 60-70 points. If he does something similar next season as well, they may just try to lock him up at a higher cap hit for a longer term (in hopes that it is a steal down the road if he continues this progression). I'll bet on a 2-year bridge RFA deal at like 4+ mil. Hopefully it all works out.
Let's hope Tarasenko's extension isn't too bloated.

welcome to what we got from nabby last year. He's still playing better than Johnson though.

Doesn't take long for Carle to cough up the puck, what the hell was that?

Embarrassing how the team played in front of the kid. He didn't deserve that, and the team didn't deserve to have him keeping them in the game for 56 minutes.

Vasilevski deserves to win that game, but after the 20th give-away and the inability to clear the puck out of the zone the end result is exactly what we saw.

He made some unreal saves; I'd keep him over Nabakov any day

Oh and Matt Carle...awful game.

I would say that's 9 out of every 10 games for Carle

... which is why he is seemingly not trade-able.

But brace yourselves, trades are coming

... after the roster freeze that is.

And maybe, just maybe, we will make one.
